Our POS system emails customer receipts, reports, alerts and system failure information. It does not have SMTP server functionality built in so we needed a third party solution to provide the capability. SMTP2GO was easy to setup and very easy to maintain. When our building systems, in house app printers needed SMTP functionality it was easy to add them to the configuration. The administration is simple and no hassles with the functionality.

We use SMTP2GO in a few different scenarios:
Connecting our customer management platform to SMTP2GO gives us better visibility regarding the receipt of invoices; whether they were received, opened, clicked, or even if they bounced for some reason (it's been a while since we've had an email bounce, so I can't recall if the reason is listed or not)

Configuring older standup MFPs to use O365 as an outgoing mail server can be quite difficult (if not impossible) as most haven't received upgrades to use the newest security features. Utilizing SMTP2GO provides an easy alternative while still providing a secure connection and providing that visibility as to whether the email was successful, or if the scanner even tried to send the email.

We have a few clients that we have implemented on-premise, unmanaged backup software; use of SMTP2GO as the outbound email server is a breeze.

An added benefit is the ability to setup multiple users in the dashboard (which we assign to each service: invoices, scans, backup); this combined with the user filter allows us to quickly see if there has been an issue based on which service we are tracking.

  • Settings panel provides granularization that permits customizing each user's abilities and limitations.
  • Integrating DKIM and SPF for use with your own domain ensures the security that is needed in the modern email ecosystem, and the MFA provides the account security to which we're all accustomed.
  • Providing a reseller option provides an additional source of recurring revenue, while providing clients with trusted, needed services.
  • The only thing that I can say that I'd like to see, is a mobile app for administration, so that I don't have to authenticate every time I login from my phone. (Android app for me please)
It's great for any application that you need to track email receipt and recipient interaction, or with devices/programs that don't fare well with Exchange based email services.

Don't try to set SMTP2GO as your outbound email server if you're using O365, that just isn't a possibility (not that I've looked into that setup).

SMTP2GO is used for sending all e-mail. I previously ran our own internal SMTP servers, but with the addition of a quarterly newsletter being sent to many thousands of registered customers we were seeing more and more servers that would block our output for a period after each newsletter due to the significant difference in our patterns despite using the most up to date security features. It was determined we either needed more frequent newsletters, and neither the company nor our customers wanted that, or we needed a service that would keep the reputation in between large bursts of data.

Each user has their own username and password to send e-mail. This allows us to track patterns and ensure that if one user is compromised that it does not effect our other users and provides a mechanism to determine which of our automatons may also be compromised.

If you have the need to run your own e-mail delivery infrastructure using SMTP2GO as your outbound gives a higher level of security, and reliability compared to any other options I could find. When aberrant behavior was seen on our newsletter (ios decided to automatically unsubscribe everyone automatically because of a misconfigured default setting in their email app) SMTP saw this pattern across multiple users, contacted us, contacted Apple and was able to get the issue resolved quickly. I would not have been able to accomplish this easily on my own.

We utilize SMTP2GO for our corporate MFPs and a handful of vendor/application reporting services. We previously utilized M365 SMTP AUTH until Microsoft decided to disable this for most tenants (barring a few legitimate conditions). SMTP2GO gives us more robust reporting and insight into our email and deliverability needs at an affordable price point. Having used this app for more than 10 years now I can recall only a minuscule amount of disruption with service which was always quickly mitigated. I would definitely recommend SMTP2GO if you are in need of a simple, yet powerful, mail replay for your needs.

SMTP2GO solved our need for a secure, professional, and easy-to-use solution regarding relaying emails from devices, apps, services, etc., and giving us the transparency we needed for each. I believe it would be beneficial for us, and hopefully, others, to have the ability to schedule email reports and export reports in PDF format. Overall, SMTP2GO is a simple-to-use, yet robust platform we are very pleased with.

For development, and for relaying email for our client's production instances. I also used this for some time for my mail server, because GCP was blocking port 25 - and this is how I originally found SMTP2GO. I really enjoy using the service! It's way easier than sendgrid or other similar providers!

If you are building a website, setting up an internal app that needs to send mail, or just need to be able to do a mail campaign, you can't beat this application. Out of all the various products I've worked, sendgrid and other similar SMTP relays, this is by far the easiest! I have my entire team using it now, and they have the option to use either sendgrid or SMTP2GO.

We use SMTP2GO for all our authentication needs whether that be for printers, scanners and other external auth needs. We have found that it was difficult for us to find a product that wasnt tied to an email for auth purposes that we had to manage passwords. This gave us that freedom.

A customer will reach out to us for an option to scan to email. The past we would have setup a gmail account or attempted to authenticate with their email admin. SMTP2GO gave us an option around that and to track scanned emails to the destination to confirm the scanned email worked.

We have been using SMTP2GO for about four years and have found it to be exceptionally reliable, well priced, and with a great set of tools that we use. We run a series of applications that rely on SMTP2GO, and so far, we have not had one single problem. We reached out to them because our servers were relying on the server's SMTP function to send out emails, and most of our outgoing notifications and emails were marked as spam.

Once we integrated SMTP2GO into our server and our front-end clients' applications, our deliverability rate significantly increased. We often find ourselves saving a lot of time troubleshooting deliverability issues reported by our customers, and the analytics present in the SMTP2GO backend help cut down on debugging significantly. We went from an average of 5-10 hours of troubleshooting per week to about 1 hour of troubleshooting per month, freeing up time for maintenance and development.
  • Email deliverability - SMTP2GO IP reputation has improved the number of emails we send out and aren't reported as spam.
  • Reporting - we get quick access to deliverability data, archive retrieval, and user-based metrics, which helps us determine how we bill our customers based on their usage.
  • User access control - we can easily and quickly set up new users, set quota limits, and turn off access from a single UI. This helps our team cut down the time we spend managing resources for customers.

For any application using email to communicate with its users, SMTP2GO fills that role perfectly. We have saved time troubleshooting and seeing deliverability reports. Additionally, suppose you are required to maintain an archive of outgoing emails from your application. In that case, the archiving option from SMTP2GO is affordable and excellent for maintaining an active data set for your mail. Lastly, if your server's IP reputation has suffered, SMTP2GO's excellent IP reputation will significantly improve your email deliverability rates.

We have been using SMTP2GO for a couple of years now and it is one of the best SMTP Products out there. We mainly use it for Telephone systems to use the voicemail to email function and it works great every time. Their pricing is really affordable and the interface stands out from the rest. This is the only SMTP product I recommend to people who need to use SMTP services.

  • A mobile app would be nice.
It is great for people who need to get stuff done quickly and can't wait for a company's IT department to get you the information. The way I use it for sending voicemail to email works great since I can get everything done in one step and do not have to rely on anybody else. I guess it wouldn't be so helpful to companies that have their own in-house servers. But for any kind of cloud user, this product is great!
